Greetings Everyone:
I searched and searched and I finally found an excellent Video blog from a 14 year old Teenager commenting on the Nokia N800.
Now this is very rare, not often do we see teenagers giving their opinion about emerging technologies.
From a new website from Canada called Blog TV. ca, hey lets here it for Canada.
The young teenager, Max Arnold gives his view on the Nokia N800 internet tablet.
Something I didn't know, as Max states is the tablet can be paired via bluetooth with a Nokia bluetooth enabled phone, so that you can use the phone to communicate
and chat, using GoogleTalk, or just recently added Gizmo Call.
Max concludes that the tablet is a little pricey for teenagers and if and when our Canadian cities would be fully Wifi enabled then the N800 would be more popular.
All I can say to our Ozzie friend Hugo, is watchout cause in a couple of years Max
will be Canada's most popular teen Video blogger.
Enjoy the video everyone:

MID's Potential Features
Greetings Everyone:
There are many features that we would love to have on our Mobile Internet Devices.
Some say long Battery life is the most important feature in demand for MID's.
Yes, that is true especially if your running Vista.
But other potential features may be in demand.
An Australian company has the ability to fit a small LCD projection feature into a Mobile Internet Device.
Think of the many possibilities that can be used for making presentations in business.
Or for MultiMedia use, enjoy a DVD movie, project your favorite pictures to show your friends, have a multi Video conference with a number of people.
Have a look at the video.
I hope this feature will become possible in the next generation of Mobile Internet Devices.
Here is the Video:
Lets hear about your Potential Mobile Internet Device Features.

What a Week for MID's
Greetings Everyone:
Hey its been a great week for Mobile Internet Devices.
Looks like OQO model 2 has been getting lots of reviews, and it seems the unit will begin shipping in July 2007.
Correct me if I'm wrong but in its size of 5 inch display, it must be the fastest CPU at this moment. The Via 1.5 ghz chip seems to be a popluar CPU at present time.
Also a new Linux operating MID has surfaced on YouTube.
On May 2, the Midinux, using Linux OS, was able to open a YouTube Video, play music from a radio station, and show pictures in a slide show fashion.
I couldn't find any specs on this new 4.8 inch display MID.
If anyone has more information about this MID, post it in the comments area.
Here is the video:
If anyone has videos, news, new information, let me know.
Regards Robert

Hugo Ortega with the OQO model 2
Well Well:
I had a busy Sunday, photographing politians is not an easy task.
Especially when on the same day I added one more year to my life.
All in all it was a great and exciting day for me.
So it seems Hugo Ortega, the Australian UMPC Blog king has revealed the mystery of his new toy which is none other than the OQO model 2.
Well we can't call this a UMPC, because the screen size is 5 inches.
So has Hugo begun liking Mobile Internet Devices rather than UMPC's.
We will have to see.He will be hosting the CeBit in Australia and seems his new toy(OQO) will be with him all the time.
Without further a due Here's Hugo:
Anyone else has comments about the OQO Model 2
Regards Robert

Why are MID's better than SmartPhones and PDA's
Greetings Everyone:
Its been a little while that I haven't posted a blog.
I would like to make it clear why Mobile Internet Devices are better than SmartPhones and PDA's.
Lets look at SmartPhones: HTC, BlackBerry, etc
Smartphones were made to communicate and keep you up todate with your contacts.
Smartphones can not stream video off YouTube.
Smartphones can not download a 50 meg file off the internet.
Smartphones can not do video conferencing
Smartphones have OS's like Smybian, Windows Mobile, not Windows XP or Vista.
Also their screens are at times a small form factor.
Lets Look at PDA's:Dell, HP, Toshiba
This is one product that seems to compete with MID's but because of the
limitations with their cpu caping out at 624mhz, PDA's will probably disappear
in 2-3 years from now.
PDA's are much slower in speed than MID's
PDA's don't have input connections, USB, VGA, mouse connections.
PDA's use Windows Mobile OS, doesn't sync the same way as XP or Vista.
The only thing that is postive about PDA's is that are pocketable compared to
MID's.
MID's have a bigger display 4-6 inchs, easier to watch a DVD movie.
MID's can have a keyboard.
MID's have a better battery life.4-6 hours
MID's make it much easier to sync with your desktop.
MID's can perform Video Conferences, MultiMedia Presentations, etc.
MID's may include a Hardrive or Flash Drive built in.
In time with more technology improving in CPU power as Intel has stated MID's can be as powerful as UMPC's.
Let's hear from your comments on advantages of MID's

HP's Smallest MID ever!!!!!
Greetings Everyone:
I hope everyone had a great weekend.
It seems we are all looking for the smallest gadget, and MID's are in a class by themselves.
Usually an MID would have a standard display between 4-6 inches.
But it seems that HP has shrunk an MID to only 2.5 inches.
The HP iPAQ rx4540 was first seen in October 2006, as you can see from the
YouTube video.
But what is strange is that this little jewel is only available for sale in Australia.
I've searched Ebay, and googled the model, the only place it sells is downunder.
What's really exciting is that it has Wifi B/G, very interesting.
Enjoy the Video:
Send me some of your comments, or links to new MID's you have seen.
